The Sex Robot That Can Actually Say No!

June 22, 2018

Man feeling shocked

I have spent the last few months watching season two of Westworld, and I have to say, despite mixed reviews, I have enjoyed it. The acting is, for the most part incredible. And the story lines, if often confusing, certainly maintain interest. There is also the underlying discussion as to the future of robots and A.I. Will robots one day be used for sex in much the same way as Delores was in the first season?

It is fair to say that robots and A.I are coming on loads, and that has already meant we have ventured into the realms of sex robots. Even more interestingly, the latest innovation seems to have created a robot who can say no if she doesn’t feel in the mood.

No Means No

Sexbot Samantha’s ability to say “no” was demonstrated to an audience of shocked academics at one of the UK’s leading science villages.

Though she can enjoy sex like any woman, her electronic brain puts her in charge of her sexual activity.

She has been designed to show pleasure and whisper endearments, but only if she is stimulated the correct way. She even has a microchip inside her plastic skull which helps her remember previous “interactions” with her “employer” to improve future experiences.

She can also be switched between “family”, “romantic” and “sex” settings and even an “extra naughty” level depending on what you want to get up to.

Still, her sensors are also designed to detect when touching becomes too aggressive or disrespectful. This will make her revert to being a piece of plastic. In other words, you have to treat her well and not like a sex object.

Samantha already exists as a prototype and is expected to go into mass production soon. You will be able to buy her for £3,600.

Less Sexist

This has all been done to take away the idea that sex robots are demeaning to women. This is why Spanish scientist Dr Sergi Santos and his wife Maritsa Kissamitaki gave Samantha a mind of her own, with mood swings. She can be charming, or she can be irritable, and the user will never know what he will get.

I have to say, the moment sex robots start to get a mind of their own, then we really are getting into the realms of Westworld. Here they never knew they were robots as A.I had got that good. It wouldn’t surprise me to see, that by the time I die, we will have robots who actually think they are human. I kid you not.

So do you think we will have sex robots who think they are human in the next 50 years? Let us know in the poll below.
