Over the years there have been many different methods to try and put an end to sex work completely, and yet despite all of this the world’s oldest profession is still going strong. Since the attacks on the sex workers themselves haven’t made a difference to the industry, people are instead deciding that we need to do is instead focus on the clients of sex workers and stop them from seeing them. After all, if you get rid of the demand, the supply goes too… right?

Most of us tend to have a type. We will have that one kind of date that we favour more than others, and if you give us the choice we will choose them over any other, simply because they are the ones that we are the most attracted to. Anyone who has been keeping up with the news over the last week will realise that A) England have just won the Ashes (get in!) and B) Amnesty International have decided to push for the decriminalisation of sex work (get in!) This is a great move as it will mean the day that sex workers are safer whilst participating in their line of work will get closer.

Revenge porn has been all over the news for the last few months, with countries all over the world declaring that it is now against the law to share media content of a sexual nature from someone else without their permission. Result!

As much as we might hate the series, the Fifty Shades books and films have well and truly brought BDSM into the spotlight. While bored housewives around the world are thrilled to be reading about Christian Grey’s antics in the red room with Anastasia, the rest of us are horrified at the things we see described on the pages, and we can’t wait to put them down.

When it comes to sex work, pretty much everyone and their mother has an opinion about it. They think that they know the best way to stop it and the best way to help those in it get out. In fact, they think that they know so much about it that it is shocking the sex industry even exists!
